DesktopWidgets is a tiny special program(209 KB), called a run-time environment, which allows you to run custom build Mac OS X Desktop Widgets or even Mac OS X Dashboard Widgets on your Macintosh Desktop. Instruction, Help and custom build DesktopWidgets are provided within the installer.
Note: It is not tested on Mac OS X Lion or Mountain Lion.
